Total time:  15 mins | Serves: 3

Black Garlic Pasta

  • 1 540ml can chickpeas or garbanzo beans

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 clove garlic

  • 2 bulbs black garlic (approximately 2 tablespoons)

  • 1/3 cup water

  • 5-6 tablespoons tahini

  • 2/3 cup extra virgin olive oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (add more if you like your hummus savorier)

  1. Slice the king oyster mushrooms and black garlic and put aside

  2. Remove shirataki noodles from package and rinse thoroughly with cold running water

  3. Combine all the ingredients under the ingredient list 'Sauce' into one bowl and put aside

  4. Heat up frying pan to medium heat with a bit of oil or butter

  5. When the frying pan is up to temperature, add in the mushrooms and saute for 3-5 minutes

  6. Turn down the heat to medium-low before we add in the garlic.

  7. Add in the black garlic once the mushroom is soft and cook for 2 minutes. The black garlic is very soft, so you can mash it up into the mushrooms to make it a paste for a more evenly distributed flavour.

  8. Add in the sauce and the noodles and fry it for another 3-5 minutes.

  9. Enjoy!
